• Description:

  The Tok River project aimed to improve the mapping and geologic understanding of the eastern portion of the Alaska Range and to evaluate the mineral resource potential of the area. Tanacross A-5 and A-6 quadrangles were mapped at 1:50,000 scale, and lie east of the Delta VMS belt, and west of the Peak skarn (Cu-Au) of the Tetlin project. Surrounding structurally controlled gold occurrences include the Stibnite Creek quartz-stibnite-pyrite-arsenopyrite veins, and the VABM White quartz veins and stockwork veining. The map area contains porphyry (Cu-Au) mineralization at the Noah (also known as Hona) prospect, and the sulfide-rich 'Eagle trend' prospects of possible volcanogenic or plutonic origin. 2016 STATEMAP grant no.
